My ability to craft joyful and engaging experiences is entirely dependent on understanding my users. I rely on in-depth research to create intuitive designs that stand the test of time.

Here's what I've been up to.

Personal projects

I like to start by showcasing a couple of my own ventures that I've worked on in my career. As a designer who can code, I've always felt compelled to try and work on societal issues with my abilities. While these ideas have never made me rich, they help paint a portrait of how I analyze problems that can be addressed with proper user experience.

PwCMar 2015 — Oct 2021

During my six-year tenure, I was the founding designer at the Joint Ventures division, responsible for propelling PwC from a firm that licenses 3rd-party software for its client engagements, to one that builds custom apps according to the needs of its clients.

In that time, I was often the sole designer and front-end engineer working on financial services tools which would eventually be licensed to some of the largest companies in the world. Several of the tools I designed and built in the field of corporate travel tax established new standards of design and experience, and future tools from other divisions and firms would ultimately follow many of those standards.

Our flagship product, Cost Projection, would end up becoming the symbol of our innovative capacity at trade shows and on marketing material.

EarninOct 2021 — Present

In my first 18 months, I've designed features and journeys in nearly every corner of Earnin's ecosystem, from the app, to the customer care portal, to building prototypes for the research team.

I joined Earnin at a time when the company was going through a major rebrand, so I had ample opportunity to bring an outside perspective to the design org, and make an impact right away. In addition to design work, I also launched an annual company-wide hackathon in 2022 to elevate Earnin employees who don't typically get a chance to share their innovative visions.

Here are a few of the designs I'm proud to have completed in that time:

SilverLogic

As co-founder and CEO of SilverLogic, I grew a startup from a team of 3 founding members to a full-fledged company of designers, programmers, and managers working together to create custom cross-platform solutions.

Since I also served as the lead product designer and lead front-end engineer, it was my job to not only design high-quality user experiences for our clients, but also make sure that our branding and internal tools were representative of a high-quality organization.

One of those tools I designed and engineered was our app builder, which allowed clients to create and submit a rough estimate of the type of software they wanted to have built. This made it easy for them to describe their project in detail without having to write it out, and it gave us valuable context to engage with them in our first meeting.
